ICONIC WINES FROM JOSEPH LAU PART V THE FINAL PART

ICONIC WINES FROM JOSEPH LAU PART V THE FINAL PART

Sale Overview

Christie’s Hong Kong is honoured to present Iconic Wines from Joseph Lau Part V – The Final Part, marking the concluding chapter of one of the most distinguished and celebrated wine collections ever to appear at auction.

At the heart of this finale is a remarkable offering of 33 lots of Henri Jayer, Vosne‑Romanée Cros‑Parantoux, from the vintages 1991 to 2001, representing some of the most revered years produced from this legendary premier cru vineyard. The selection includes bottles originally acquired from Christie’s landmark 2012 sale, The Private Cellar of Henri Jayer, underscoring their exceptional provenance and rarity.

Complementing these Burgundian highlights is a superb final selection from Domaine de la Romanée‑Conti, featuring notable examples of Romanée‑Conti and Montrachet from highly sought‑after vintages spanning the 1990s to the 2010s. Further distinction is added by rare wines from Domaine d’Auvenay, including Chevalier‑Montrachet and Bâtard‑Montrachet, celebrated for their remarkable purity and profound scarcity.

Part V also presents an exceptional array of fine Bordeaux, featuring First Growth and Right Bank icons from the outstanding 1990s through the 2000s. Highlights include exemplary selections from Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour and Château Mouton Rothschild, alongside celebrated Right Bank estates such as Pétrus, Le Pin, Château Lafleur and Château Cheval Blanc. Rare large‑format bottles further underscore the stature and significance of this final release.

This concluding chapter encapsulates the vision, legacy and extraordinary quality that have defined the Joseph Lau Collection. Collectors are warmly invited to celebrate and acquire the final offerings of these truly legendary wines.
