Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy

On 27 November, Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction presents timeless masterpieces from the 6th to the 19th century from prestigious private collections worldwide. Highlights of the auction include Wu Li’s Landscape with Pines and Chrysanthemums for Taopu formerly from the C.C. Wang Family Collection, and delicate paintings like Shen Zhou’s Cloudy Landscape, Bada Sharen’s Lotus and Birds from an Asian private collection, Xie Shichen’s Landscapes of Four Seasons from a Japanese private collection. Important calligraphy works such as Shuang Hong Kan Notes by Fu Shan and Mahāyāna Mahāparinirvāna Sūtra No. 22 from of the Six dynasties are presented alongside masterpieces by celebrated artists including Wen Zhengming and Dong Qichang.

Part of the artworks from the special exhibition From Protégé to Master – The Chinese Painting Collection of Harold Wong held in May 2024 will also be offered in the sale, including Chen Chun’s Peonies and Wang Duo’s Inscription of a Painting in Running Script.
