On 28 April, Christie’s Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction presents a distinguished selection of rare and important works. Led by Twin Eagles by Bada Shanren from an Important Asian Private Collection, the sale also features several exceptional masterpieces, including Poem in Running Script by Wang Shouren of the Ming dynasty; Gathering of Reclusive Sages and Poetry Drafts by Chen Hongshou, formerly in the C. C. Wang Family Collection; Reading in the Autumn Mountains and Mount Nüji by Tang Yin; as well as Magnificent View of the Yangzi River by Shen Zhou from an important Japanese private collection.
