Handbags & Accessories

Sale Overview

Christie’s is proud to present the Handbags & Accessories live auction in Hong Kong on 25 May. This season’s curation brings together over 200 exceptional lots from esteemed houses including Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, showcasing the pinnacle of craftsmanship and artistic value in luxury leather goods. Highlights include highly coveted limited-edition Hermès masterpieces, such as the legendary Faubourg Birkin and the whimsical Kelly Doll. The auction also features a selection of handbags that resonate with the 2026 color trends, including the sophisticated Transformative Teal and the ethereal Cloud Dancer, harmonizing natural serenity with modern aesthetics.

The curatorial inspiration for this sale is drawn from Spring, an epic poem by the 18th-century Scottish poet James Thomson. The poem’s vivid depiction of nature’s awakening and the vibrant vitality of the changing seasons is mirrored in this season’s palette of white, green, pink, and blue. From the lush verdancy of dewy meadows to the "infinitude of hope" found in blossoming gardens, each handbag is more than a triumph of artisanal skill; it is a gentle echo of the profound love for life and craft celebrated in Thomson’s verses.

Christie’s cordially invites you to join us for this live auction to discover these wearable works of art—pieces that weave together natural imagery with the spirit of the times, offering an eternal resonance of spring to the discerning collector.
