ICONIC WINES FROM JOSEPH LAU PART III

ICONIC WINES FROM JOSEPH LAU PART III

Sale Overview

Christie’s is honoured to present Iconic Wines from Joseph Lau Part III, which will take place on 22 May at The Henderson. Following the success of Iconic Wines from Joseph Lau Part I and Part II in 2022, this Part III auction, comprising over 200 lots with an estimated total value exceeding HK$35million/ US$4.6million, will offer another precious opportunity for connoisseurs to acquire the finest bottles from the esteemed entrepreneur and distinguished wine collector.

The celebrated collection features a remarkable selection of the rarest wines from Henri Jayer, particularly the lots previously acquired from Christie’s The Private Cellar of Henri Jayer auction in 2012. Highlights include Cros Parantoux from the 1980s to 2001. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is well represented, with Romanée-Conti and Montrachet spanning the 1990s to the 2010s, alongside Échezeaux, La Tâche and Richebourg from the 1990s. There is also a small selection of Leflaive Montrachet, d’Auvenay Batard-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet.

Bordeaux highlights showcase the best vintages from the 1980s to 2000s, featuring all first growth Chateaux and right bank equivalents. Different formats of Lafite are on offer up to 6 litres; and Pétrus 1990 is available in parcel quantities.

To commemorate this auction, each bottle of wine from this sale will have a specially designed sticker on the back of the bottle.

Join us in celebrating these truly legendary wines and the iconic cellar they come from.
