Sale Overview

The Au Bak Ling Collection Volume II is Christie’s Hong Kong’s second dedicated auction celebrating the prestigious collection of Chinese ceramics formed by the illustrious collector Au Bak Ling. Featuring 45 exquisite works spanning the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, the collection is distinguished by its exceptional quality, provenance and condition, acquired mostly through international auctions from the 1970s to 1990s.

Highlights include a rare Kangxi peachbloom-glazed ‘three-string’ vase (laifu zun), an extremely rare Yongzheng yangcai ‘poppy’ bowl, a fine and rare Xuande blue and white ‘lianzi wan’ bowl, an exceedingly rare Kangxi-marked blue and white ‘riverscape’ brush pot, and more.

Special Notice
From June 2025, EU regulations 2019/880 and 2021/1079 introduce new licensing requirements and regulations relating to the import of cultural goods into the EU. We recommend clients check ahead of the sale whether the lot they wish to purchase and its import into the EU could be impacted by the regulations.
