Christie’s is honoured to present The Cellar of the Hon. Henry Tang, a landmark single-owner auction to be held live on 10 October 2026 at The Henderson, Hong Kong. Offered sixty years after Christie’s first wine auction in 1966, this exceptional sale celebrates one of Asia’s most influential and admired private collections. 

Over five decades, Henry Tang has assembled a cellar defined by passion, discernment and an unwavering commitment to quality. Guided by personal conviction rather than market trends, he has cultivated relationships with many of the world’s greatest producers and built a collection that reflects both depth and vision.

Comprising 860 lots from vintages spanning over 90 years, the sale showcases an extraordinary range of the world’s most sought-after wines. Bordeaux highlights include the First Growths, alongside legendary Right Bank estates such as Petrus, Lafleur, Le Pin and Cheval Blanc. Burgundy is equally compelling, led by Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Henri Jayer, Leroy, Georges Roumier, Armand Rousseau and Comte Liger-Belair, complemented by some of the region’s most revered white wine producers, including Coche-Dury, Leflaive, Comtes Lafon and Ramonet. 

Reflecting Mr. Tang’s keen eye for emerging talent, the collection also features highly coveted modern producers such as Paul Pillot, Bernard-Bonin and Hubert Lamy. Rounding out the offering are rare Champagnes, Rhône, Italian, Spanish, German and New World icons, including Krug, Salon, Jacques Selosse, Rayas, Giacomo Conterno, Vega Sicilia, Keller, Screaming Eagle and Penfolds Grange.
