The Collection of Peter and Barbara Goodman

New York
The Collection of Peter and Barbara Goodman

Sale Overview

Fresh to the market and brimming with color, the Collection of Peter and Barbara Goodman stands as one of the most astutely curated assemblages of American Folk Art. From masterpieces of American portraiture and early furniture forms with old surfaces to painted toleware and Shaker boxes, the Collection is remarkable for its consistent high quality with many of the offerings representing the “best in kind” of their type. The Goodmans were both artistically talented and their keen eye for beauty and insistence on pristine condition makes this one of the most exciting Americana sales to come to market in recent years.
