Across Paris, London and New York, Christie’s Collections delivered strong results this spring, celebrating decorative arts shaped by history, provenance and personal taste.
The sales saw strong engagement from collectors, driven by a rich survey of furniture, silver, porcelain, sculpture and works of art spanning the 16th to 20th centuries.
Highlights included a South Italian ebony, verre églomisé and tortoiseshell cabinet on a Charles II giltwood stand in London, a Spanish giltwood and painted-glass mirror in New York, and a pair of Art Deco silver and hardstone wine coolers by Robert Linzeler in Paris.
Following this superb spring season, Collections returns this autumn.
