The Collection of Agnes Gund

  • Event date 19 - 23 November
  • Event location New York
A passionate collector, distinguished philanthropist and visionary leader, Agnes Gund used the power of art to inspire change in the world. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated patron of the arts interested in helping living artists develop their talents. She formed close personal relationships with many of the artists she collected, including Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein. Moved by that same spirit of generosity, in later years, she sold key pieces from her collection to fund social causes. Agnes Gund’s legacy continues with select works on offer during our 21st Century Evening Sale, Post-War and Contemporary Day Sale and a dedicated online auction, all in support of the Gund Art Foundation.
