A 28-bore German wheel-lock holster pistol
circa 1650
With two-stage barrel, the breech section octagonal then polygonal and struck with Suhl mark, lightly engraved lock retained by three side-nails and with bevelled tail (cock associated), fruitwood full stock stamped with initials behind the barrel tang, iron mounts including moulded lightly engraved butt-plate, and associated spanner and ramrod (ramrod-pipe and fore-end cap missing)
