Provenance
The Fourteen of Nottingham won this closely-contested match by 7 wickets. The Eleven of England's first innings score of 95 was slightly better than Nottingham's 88, and in the second innings they managed 125. But Parr's 40 not out in the second innings brought Nottingham to the required total of 134 with 7 wickets to spare. Pilch was run out with a top score of 25 in his first innings for the Eleven of England, and he made the same score in the second, though this time Cornwall with 46 was top scorer for the Eleven.
