The hood with stepped top and glazed side panels, square top trunk door decorated with chinoiserie figures, a pagoda and birds in red and gilt against a green ground, on stepped plinth decorated with chinoiserie figures crossing a bridge to a pagoda, the 12in. (30.5cm.) square brass dial with engraved border and female mask spandrels to the silvered chapter ring signed Aynsworth Westminster, the matted centre with seconds ring and date aperture, engraved with doves, the five pillar movement with inside countwheel strike on bell; dial and movement associated to case, case re-decorated
