KENESAW M. LANDIS LETTER TO JOE JACKSON
A one-page typewritten letter from Baseball Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis to Joe Jackson. The letter dated June 20, 1923 is in response to a letter asking for reinstatement. The reinstatement letter was apparently written by Katie Jackson because Landis responds, The signature thereto does not appear to be yours; therefore, beyond this communication to you, no action will be taken thereon. The letter demonstrates Landis's contempt for Jackson. On BASEBALL stationary and signed in black ink.
