A finely engineered exhibition standard 2in. scale model of the Burrell Gold Medal Tractor Reg. No. AD 7782 'Old Tom',
built by N.G. Foster, with brazed copper boiler, with fittings including water gauge with shut-off cocks, pressure gauge, safety, blower, twin injector, whistle, water lift, simpling, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinders ¾in. and 1¼in. bores x 1¼in. stroke, footplate controlled draincocks and pipework, mechanical lubricator, bar type crosshead guides, motion drip trays and drain pipes, bolted and wedged strapped big ends, Stephenson's link reverse, belt driven Pickering type governor, two road speeds and disc flywheel. Chassis details include rubber tyred spoked wheels with brass hubcaps, worm and roller chain steering, working leaf spring to front axle, interconnected belly and tender water tanks, hand feed pump (not connected), two injectors, whistle, cable drum, cable and fairleads, water lift and suction hose, driver's seat, flywheel and rear wheel brakes, planked canvas covered half length canopy mounted on steel framing, tool boxes and other details, and finished in green, red, black and polished brightwork with red, green, white and black lining -- 19.7/8 x 30in. (50.5 x 76.2cm.). Display base and wood framed perspex cover. Medal Certificate. Folio of build history and photos.
