A SWISS ENAMELLED GOLD SNUFF-BOX
Geneva, circa 1780, with prestige marks
Oval box, the guilloch panels on cover, sides and base coated with translucent blue enamel and bordered with opaque white enamel bands, the lid centred with an oval enamel plaque painted with three young ladies disarming Cupid, within a border of raised opalescent enamel beads on a matted gold band, the matted gold borders and side pilasters applied with opalescent enamel beads and translucent green and red enamelled leaves and berries
