Each circular plate painted in enamel colours with four cartouches containing birds and flowers against a central inscription roundel inscribed with the name of the patron and the date, the rim with a wide band of flowers and butterflies, rubbing and rim chips

Lot Essay

The central inscription roundel reads: Made to the order of Muhammad 'Ali Zarni, Nasr al-Dowla, in the year 1905.
