A 2-inch (5.1cm.) diameter terrestrial pocket globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with symbols (most of the original graduations not shown), the continents coloured in outline in blue, green, yellow and red and showing rivers and some cities (almost all of the southern hemisphere and Asia redrawn, with subsequent loss of much detail, repaired cracks, repairs to both poles), with steel axis pins (replacements) in turned fruitwood box, the domed lid with flat knop -- 3in. (7.6cm.) high
