With earlier strongly curved watered Persian (?) blade with gold-damascened cartouches (rubbed) at the forte, including, on one face, Arabic pious inscriptions, and gilt 'Mameluke' hilt with straight quillons with pointed drop-shaped terminals, and pistol-grip cut off straight at the top, chased throughout with rococo foliage and flowers and set with turquoises, mostly arranged as conventional flowers, in original gilt-metal scabbard decorated en suite with the hilt and carrying two fixed suspension-rings: in wooden velvet-lined storage case covered with leather (rubbed)
