Each with associated demilune bluejohn and slate marble top geometrically inlaid with concentric bands and ovals, above a frieze carved with oak leaves and entrelac, on reeded tapering legs headed by acanthus and bound with trailing vines terminating in foliate-carved feet with beaded collars (re-gilt)--36in. Lot Essay

A side table with virtually identical frame (with exception to the feet) and scagliola top was purchased by Moss Harris for 1st Lord Leverhulme's collection at The Hill, Hampstead, and sold Anderson Galleries, New York, 11 February 1926, lot 359. The table appeared again on the market was sold again at Sotheby's New York, 24 January 1987, lot 170.
