Lady Mildred Harriet Anstruther, [C.B.E.], was born on 2.6.1863, the daughter of Edward Hussey of Scotney Castle, Kent. She married Sir Ralph Anstruther, 6th Baronet of Balcaskie, on 5.8.1886. Lady Anstruther was awarded the C.B.E. in 1918 for her war work with the Soldiers and Sailors Families Association, War Pensions, Food Control and the British Red Cross.
