A DELFT PASTORAL TAPESTRY
Mid 17th Century, possibly by Maximillian van der Gucht
Woven in wools and silks, depicting a couple of gentlemen in a wooded river landscape with ducks in the foreground and a village in the distance, framed by a pair of pillars supporting a floral and fruit garland centred by a blue cartouche, the base with conforming garland and cartouche, minor areas of reweaving throughout, the top and bottom brown slips rewoven and side strip on right with areas replaced
