signed SALMOIRAGHI MILANO NO. 78390, the white and black enamelled telescope with fine focusing, ray shade, mounted on twin A-frames incorporating the 4¾-inch vertical circle with silvered scales, the twin magnifiers with reflectors, mounted over the horizontal circle with bubble level, silvered scale, twin verniers and magnifiers with similar reflectors, tangent-screw fine adjustment with clamp, on black-enamelled three-screw tripod attachment with chrome fittings, contained in the original wood carrying case with protective corner pieces -- 18in. (45.7cm.) wide
