A Mennecy silver-mounted snuff-box
Circa 1760, the contemporary mounts with a décharge of Eloy Brichard, Paris, 1756-62
Modelled as a swan to the left, the top of its head in puce and with yellow beak tucked beside its wing on an oval green and puce-washed base moulded with a pink and yellow flower with radiating green leaves, the cover painted with loose bouquets (rubbing to cover, very slight damage to mount)
2½in. (6.5cm.) long
