The tapering single-edged finely watered steel blade with medial ridge along the spine, each side with applied gold floral panels near the hilt, one side also inscribed with the name of the maker, the other with the date, a faceted boss at the juncture of the blade and hilt decorated with applied gold floral sprays, the hilt with walrus ivory grips decorated with applied gold floral panels along the spine, hanging loop at the upper end
