A modern reproduction 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe, by Greaves & Thomas, made up of twelve colour-printed gores and two polar calottes, the southern polar calotte with a further label reading MERZBACH & FALK, PUBLISHERS, BRUSSELS. PATENT, the text in English, the equatorial and Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated but unlabelled, the oceans showing ocean currents, the continents with nation states in shades of green, orange and yellow and showing rivers, mountains, towns and cities (small repair at South Pole) with a stamped brass meridian circle, raised on an ebonised baluster-turned column and plinth base -- 22in. (55.9cm.) high
