Of rectangular shape lacquered in gold and silver takamaki-e with Ebisu wrestling a giant carp on a rocky shore, a fishing rod and basket nearby, the figure and carp inlaid in iron, shakudo and gilt, the reverse a continuation of the scene with a pine on a rocky shore, and two cranes flying against a setting sun rendered in gold foil, interior cases nashiji; fitted with a gilt soft-metal bead ojime and a manju netsuke lacquered in iro-e hiramaki-e with autumn leaves on a gyobu ground--3 7/8in.
