On domed circular base chased with bands of flutes on a matted band, ovolo and trailing laurel, the sides formed of three tapering supports with grape and ribbon festoons between, the hinged cover with conforming decoration and bud finial, with blue glass liner, marked on base, frame and cover; struck with charge and discharge of Jean-Baptiste Fouache and Dominique Compant--4¾in. (12cm.) high
