THREE VARIOUS SUKASHI TSUBA
EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1725)

The iron tsuba comprising: a round plate pierced and carved with four ginger buds and five birds, the rim with some iron bones, (rust spot areas)--7.9cm. h., 7.8cm. w., 5.5mm. th.; a round plate pierced with a bamboo branch, two birds, and dew drops (in the style of Akao school of Echizen), some iron bones in the rim--6.7cm. h, 6.5cm. w., 5.25mm. th.; and a round plate pierced with three kiri leaves and scroll work (Kyo Shoami school), the rim with many large iron bones--8cm. h., 7.9cm. w., 5.75mm. th.
