Contemporary English red morocco gilt, covers panelled with crown cornerpieces, spine in seven compartments with raised bands, tooled with various small tools, embossed floral polychrome endpapers, g.e. (spine slightly faded, joints slightly split, head of spine slightly chipped).
A fine large copy of the collection of congratulatory verses (in numerous languages, including Latin, Greek, various middle- and far-eastern languages, Welsh and 42 in English) produced in celebration of the birth of the Prince of Wales (George IV). The contributors culminate in Thomas Warton, professor of Poetry.
