With four-stage twist sighted barrel decorated with applied silver bands, cut with seven grooves, and with swamped fluted muzzle, the breech engraved with a coat-of arms and coronet, brass-lined touch-hole, Turkish lock with fluted fences, moulded figured walnut full stock with raised apron at the barrel tang and incised with foliage fore and aft of the cheek-piece, brass mounts comprising butt-plate with engraved waved tang, and drilled for two cavities for balls, each with pivoting iron cover, flat side-plate pierced and engraved with foliage involving Leda and the swan, fluted trigger-guard with pierced foliate finial, and baluster ramrod-pipes, engraved horn fore-end cap, and horn-tipped ramrod, the butt with copper armoury tag numbered 288
