1973 LANCIA 2000 HF PININFARINA COUPE
Registration No. WPR 295M
Chassis No. 8204371905
Engine No. 5337
Right hand drive.
The new Pininfarina designed front wheel drive Lancia 2000 coupe was introduced in 1969 to much acclaim with its almost Ferrari 250GTE look-a-like styling and very comprehensive specification. In 1971 the HF high performance version came on to the market with the 2-litre flat four cylinder engine now having Bosch fuel injection providing 125bhp at 5800rpm and a cruising speed of 125mph. Standard equipment included five speed gearbox, power steering, electric windows, 14in alloy wheels, four wheel disc brakes and a sumptuous 2+2 designed interior.
The 2000 coupe set new standards of high performance motoring with its superb roadholding and almost silent travel, but was expensive and equivalent in its day to a 4.2-litre Jaguar E-Type. This coupe is in excellent condition having completed only 80,000 miles with four owners. The present Lancia Club enthusiast owner has driven the car regularly over the past six years. This model is the last classic Grand Touring Lancia with its unique and robust flat four cylinder engine.
