1973 LANCIA 2000 HF PININFARINA COUPE
Registration No. NCV 313M
Chassis No. 8204371841
Engine No. 4432
Right hand drive.
When the all new Pininfarina designed Lancia 2000 coupe was launched in 1969, its similarity to the Ferrari 250GTE was instantly recognisable and the car became known as the poor man's Ferrari. The robust flat four cylinder Flavia engine had been enlarged to 1,991cc and in its final high performance HF version had Bosch fuel injection producing a torque of 125bhp at 5800rpm.
The 2000 HF had a comprehensive specification which included a Porsche type five speed gearbox which in fifth gear provided a 125mph cruising speed, servo assisted four wheel disc brakes, power steering, electric windows and a luxuriously appointed interior. The car set new standards of Grand Touring with superb roadholding and almost silent travel. It was one of the last true Lancias prior to the Fiat influence.
This 1973 2000 HF coupe has the distinction of having had one owner and driven only 75,000 miles. During the last three years the car has been in storage and suffered from a certain amount of corrosion, but should be easily restorable. Mechanically the car is believed to be in sound condition, but the West of England cloth seats are poor and will need recovering.
