a book of prayers, manuscript on buff paper, 23ff. plus two flyleaves, each with 10ll. of gold muhaqqaq outlined in brown, gold rosettes with blue and red dots between phrases, catchwords also in gold, (ff.7 and 8 misbound), opening folio with the title and opening phrases on red hatched and foliate gold within a gold and blue geometric rope-pattern border, the interstices with red hatching and blue foliate arabesques, a gold and blue marginal medallion, later notes in black below, final folio with colophon signed by Muhammad b. Yusuf b. Yamin al-Shaf'i and dated Muharram 709, in ORIGINAL BROWN MOROCCO BINDING with stamped geometrc design central panel within simple geometric borders, both studded with gold dots (some scuffing at corners and spine), brown morocco doublures stamped with a paler foliate lattice design
