Production of this model, reference 2441, was launched in 1948 and is often referred to as the Eiffel Tower due to its easily identifiable and distinct flared design.

Patek Philippe confirm production of this watch in 1952.

A similar example is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, p. 142.

In 1997, Patek Philippe released the limited edition Pagoda model wristwatch, reference 5500, to commemorate the inauguration of their new watchmaking center in Geneva. The interesting case design of the Eiffel Tower model, reference 2441, served as the inspiration for the contemporary Pagoda.
