A 'Months of the Year' Satsuma teaset
19th century
comprising a teapot and cover, sugar bowl and cover, milk jug and twelve teacups and saucers, all painted and gilt with panels depicting figures at various festivals and ceremonies during the twelve months of the year, all on grounds of birds and butterflies amongst chrysanthemums, daisies and irises -- the teapot and cover 6in. (15.2cm.) high, signed Hasegawa, set in two plush fitted boxes and covers.
