An Edwardian mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, early 20th century
The flat top hood with brass-capped and stop-fluted outset columns, section of moulding lacking to one side, with plain three-quarter length pilasters flanking a trunk door inlaid with a swag-hung urn, with conforming ornament to the plinth panel, on bracket feet, the 13in. square brass dial with cherub and coronet spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, with eight bells/four bells adjustment lever to the lower right corner, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring, the four pillar movement with dead beat escapement, quarter chiming on eight bells and with hour strike on gong -- 82½in. (210cm.) high
