rubbed maker's mark in a lozenge, Geneva, circa 1815/1820, with the Geneva town mark, struck with inventory no. 2927 and with later marks
Rectangular box of oblong section, shaped as a satchel, the body engine-turned with vertical wavy reeding forming alternating wavy and straight leaf garlands, the lid with a blank polished gold roundel with blue enamel and split-pearl surrounds, the borders enamelled in blue taille d'épargne with stylized palmettes, the left and right hand oblong panels engraved with reeding to simulate pages, incorporated raised thumbpiece
