A Canton enamel dish
Early 18th century
painted in famille rose enamels to the centre with a butterfly amongst magnolia, peonies, lilies and peach sprays, within borders of trailing flowers, bats amongst clouds on a hatch pattern ground, the underside with three ferocious dragons amongst clouds on a yellow ground -- 6 3/8in. (16cms) diam.
