The breakarch case with bud finials and silk backed foliate cast sound frets to the sides, caryatid mounts to the front angles, on winged feet, the dial with foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, signed on a plaque VINE & THOMPSON ALDERSGATE, matted centre, blued steel hands, with regulation ring in the arch, the twin chain fusee movement with thick plates, with pendulum holdfast and strike on gong to the back plate -- 10¾in. (27.5cm.) high
