Ottoman Turkey, circa 1570
Of shallow rounded form on short foot, the white interior painted in bright red, green and cobalt-blue within black outlines with a central tuft issuing radiating blue tulips and red carnations and hyacinths, a small arabesque above, in a border of small lobed motifs, the reverse with alternating paired blue tulips and blue and green rosettes, clean breaks, one side with fired replacement piece, rim slightly fritted
