A Takatori Mizusashi [Fresh-Water Container] AND ANOTHER
Edo Period (Early-Mid 19th Century)
Of nearly cylindrical form, the sides leaning slightly inwards, the brown-red body covered in a variegated glaze ranging from olive-green to blue-grey, associated lacquered wood lid; and an Owari mizusashi of waisted form with two lug-handles at the waist and numerous turning marks, the brown-red body covered in a variety of greenish and bluish glazes, with inscribed label Owari Nagoya XVII
