A PAIR OF .60 BOHEMIAN FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS

With lightly belled sighted barrels, sighting flats, and brass fore-sights, each breech with an oval brass-lined fleur-de-lys stamp and three further smaller stamps, signed flat locks chiselled with scrolls, a lion, an eagle, and martial emblems in relief against a punched ground (one steel, one top jaw and screw, and one cock-retaining screw replaced, combs of both cocks damaged), carved moulded figured walnut full stocks (butts repaired), full brass mounts (originally gilt) cast and chased in relief with mounted horsemen in combat, scrolls and strapwork, the fore-end caps with profile busts, the escutcheons with a bust of Diana with lion supporters and a coronet above, spurred pommels each with grotesque mask cap, and brass-tipped ramrods (probably original)
