A Nymphenburg gilt-metal mounted rectangular snuff-box

The sides finely painted with flower-sprays and large swags of flowers suspended from moulded scrolling foliage shaped cartouches joined at the rounded corners by moulded diaper panels, the base with a bouquet of flowers and a fly in a similar moulded cartouche, the cover with a bouquet within a scroll-moulded cartouche with diaper panels at the corners, the interior of the cover with two birds perched on the branches of a tree, a heron standing by a pool below and a bird in flight above (extensive wear to base)
