A Regency ebonised and brass-mounted large quarter-chiming table clock, circa 1810
The case with silk-backed fishscale sound frets to front and sides, glazed rear door, the white painted Roman dial with strike/silent lever above XII, with skeletonised brass false plate to the substantial eight day triple chain fusee movement with six pillar rectangular plates, quarter chiming on eight nested bells and with hour strike on further bell, with replaced anchor escapement, trip quarter repeat, the back plate with engraved border and signed Henry Harris/LONDON, holdfast for engraved pendulum -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high
