Muromachi period (16th century)
The russet iron mask forged with wrinkles under the eyes and prominent cheeks and chin, the detachable nose plate with bulbous nose and wrinkles at the bridge, the bottom of the plate forming a mouth with small teeth, ears attached with rivets, interior lacquered red; fitted with a four-lame leather throat guard, the bottom lame lacquered gold, laced in green
