An impassioned address to Argentina 'in the name of the freedom of our America' in response to the coup d'état of 1943. The poem was published in El Siglo (Santiago: 11 June 1944), but apparently not republished until the Nerudiana dispersa (Barcelona: 2001), I, pp.525-531.
