CIRCA 1735, INTERIOR WITH BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
Of hemispherical form, the exterior with two large quatrefoil cartouches divided by two smaller oval cartouches, each painted with merchants at discussion by riversides with trees, buildings and distant galleons, within dark-brown line and gilt cartouches with Böttger-lustre panels and gilt scrolls, the shaped gilt diaper panel about the handle reserved with two small circular puce camaïeu vignettes within circular Böttger-lustre and gilt scroll cartouches, with a gilt line rim, the interior with a Gitterwerk border (handle and clapper lacking, minute areas of wear to gilt rim)
