The case on bun feet, bevelled glass to the sides and to the stepped top with gadroon mouldings, push repeat button inset to the top glass, typical McCabe reeded handle, the silvered Roman dial with blued fleur de lys hands and sudsidiary seconds ring at XII, signed James McCabe Royal Exchange London 3318, the substantial five pillar twin chain fusee movement with Harrison's maintaining power, large gilt platform escapement with underslung lever and three-arm plain balance wheel, hour strike on steel gong of circular section mounted on the backplate with strike/silent lever, engraved signature James McCabe London 3318
