UNDERGLAZE BLUE CHENGHUA SIX-CHARACTER MARKS WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES, KANGXI (1662-1722)
Each with slightly recessed centre and wide curving sides, enamelled at the centre with a female Immortal holding a ruyi sceptre with her attendant carrying a bundle of scrolls on a long staff, both standing below iron-red bats in flight, a carriage drawn by a spotted deer bearing an iron-red vessel covered by a large lotus leaf in the foreground, the scene within underglaze blue double lines repeated at the rim, the reverse with three rows of shou characters in fanciful scripts drawn in sepia, rims with sections polished, one with small rim chip
